Making Bowls with the Ringmaster Tool

Brian

Our December 17th club meeting will feature one of our Assistant Vice Presidents - Gary Barnes, who will demonstrate using the Ringmaster Tool. The Ringmaster uses flat boards up to 1 inch thick and 12 inches wide. The Ring Master's double cutting blades cut flat boards to produce rings of varying thicknesses and angles.

These rings are then stacked on top of each other to produce the intended shape. Objects such as bowls or vases can be produced with minimal waste from flat board stock. Gary will give an overview of setup and use of the tool and explain the different types of projects that can be completed using this unique tool.

Invite your woodturning friends: Please invite any of your woodturning friends who you think may be interested in joining our club. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me (Steve) at 713-826-0046 cell. . I will look forward to seeing you all at Pete’s studio. Take care and best wishes to you and yours!
