Welcome to all of our new club members and guests! Our July 25th, 2015 club meeting will be held at the Woodcraft Store located at 60 FM 1960 West, Houston, TX 77090 Phone: 281-880-0045 starting promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Our July meeting will feature a very special topic - "Unique Tools and Jigs, Homemade and Purchased." This meeting will be devoted to our members showing unique tools and jigs that they use in their studios and workshops for woodturning or woodworking.
Here is your chance to show off the latest jig or tool that makes your life easier and more productive in your workshop. Do you have a fantastic new woodturning jig, hollower, tool, or support system that saves you time when you are working at your lathe? If so, bring it to the meeting and share it with your fellow club members!
Do you have a great new woodworking tool or jig, like a router jig, a tablesaw alignment jig, bandsaw blade sharpener, or some other tool or jig that helps you complete your woodworking projects easier and more efficiently? If so, then bring it and show it to your fellow LSWA members!
There is a tremendous depth of knowledge in our club... If you are facing a particular challenge in your workshop, chances are that another member faced the same challenge and they found a way to solve it with a new tool, jig or specialized technique. Gather up your best unique tools and jigs and bring them to the meeting and show your friends in the LSWA how your new tool or jig helps you complete your projects.
Note: We are looking for members to bring unique tools and jigs, not ordinary tools like a regular bowl gouge, tablesaw blade, or router bit, etc. Bring the best of the best that you use in your studio or workshop. By combining our expertise in these areas, everyone will benefit and your next tough challenge in the workshop might be easier to overcome.
Join us for this very informative and educational meeting where members get to share the unique tools and jigs that they use everyday in their workshop to get their projects completed. These tools and jigs can be either something you purchased, or something you, or someone else made themselves. This is going to be a well attended meeting, so get ready to learn about different ways to solve challenges in your workshop!
