Hands-on Hollowing with the Jamieson Laser Assisted Hollowing Tool System
|Our September 24th meeting will feature our Assistant Vice President Brian Greb, who will demonstrate turning hollow forms using the Lyle Jamieson Laser Assisted Hollowing System. Brian will give an overview to setup and use of the tool, including how to use a laser with the Jamieson system to increase your hollowing accuracy.
Steve Russell uses Lyle Jamieson's
Laser Assisted Hollowing System
Once Brian has finished his introduction to hollowing, club members will have a chance to come up to the lathe for a few minutes of hands-on with the Jamieson system. Members will be able to see just how easy it is to create hollow forms using a laser assisted hollowing system. Lyle Jamieson’s Laser Assisted Hollowing System takes all of the guesswork out of hollowing and virtually guarantees a stress-free and goof-proof hollowing experience.
If you have been thinking about getting a hollowing rig for your studio, you do not want to miss this demonstration and hands-on session. There is nothing better than using a tool before you buy it and this will be a great opportunity for you to get some hands-on experience with this tool. Note: To accommodate as many members as possible, hands-on sessions will be limited to five minutes for each member.
