Bowl Turning with Paul Kendall
We are fortunate to have a special guest demonstrator at our March meeting. Paul Kendall teaches basic bowl turning classes at Woodcraft. He will be demonstrating how to turn a basic standard bowl and a natural edge (bark rim) bowl. If you have a bowl that you have questions about, bring it to the meeting. Paul will be staying after the meeting to answer any questions you have about bowl turning, or about his training classes at Woodcraft.

Next month (April), we will once again man our LSWA club booth at The Woodworking Shows. A sign up sheet will be available at the March meeting to volunteer for a 2-hour shift in the booth. We need at least 2 – 3 club members in the booth throughout the three days of the show.
Please bring a few of your turnings to display at the show. Volunteers in the booth receive free admission to the show, if you sign up for at least one two-hour shift. At the conclusion of your shift, feel free to check out the rest of the show. Admission tickets will be passed out at the March meeting. A ticket is required for each day you work in the club booth. See me for any questions you have, or to sign up for a shift in the club booth.2 – 3 Volunteers Needed For Each Time Slot

More information and a map to the Merrell Center can be found here.
Remember to bring some of your recent projects: Be sure to bring some of your recent turned projects for our Show and Tell, or Show and Ask session. This can be a completed turning, or one that you are still working on. During our Show and Tell, you will have the opportunity to show your turning to the group and tell us a little about how you turned it, what finish you used and if you encountered any challenges when turning, sanding, or finishing the piece.
Everyone in the club is interested in what you've been doing at the lathe. If you need help with a project you're working on, bring it and let's discuss it during the Show and Ask session. There is a lot of experience in the club and everyone is always happy to help.
Invite your woodturning friends: Please invite any of your woodturning friends who you think may be interested in joining our club. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Pete at 713-299-7556, or me (Steve) at 713-826-0046 Cell. I'm looking forward to seeing you all at Pete’s. Take care and best wishes to you and yours!
